This was also the day that I found an outfit for myself! I got a lovely mint green shirt (with tags still on it!) and a pair of white pants. I’ve been really into white pants lately and I’m not sure why. Mom also found a few items for herself as well.

Mom and I (well mostly me) decided to check out a museum of art as well. It was very interesting and they even had a section for ancient roman busts. It was fantastic! My favorite part was the photography section. There was a couple that contributed some of their photographs and I was just in love. They did a lot of animal photography and macro shots (which is what I “specialize” in, so to speak).

After that, we met up with Sister and her friend. We decided to do go kart racing. Let me tell you, that was fun but so hard! I have been playing Mario Kart for years and I thought I had this in the bag but noooooo. I was not good at all. It probably didn’t help that I picked a kart that didn’t drift.

We all went to Red Robin after supper because my sister had never been there. I got a deciduous cheeseburger. I was so full afterwards. Their burgers are always top notch and I think Sister enjoyed it as well.

We went back to the hotel. Amber left with her friend and I hung out with Mom. We passed out pretty quickly after the busy day we had.

Coming back home wasn’t fun. The snow and rain that had hit my hometown travelled to where I was. It was pretty dicey in some areas but Mom is a very skilled driver and she got us through it.

Overall, this trip was just what I needed! I had so much fun going to different thrift stores and getting a ton of books. It is so nice to get away and just not worry about anything that has been going on. I can’t wait to dive into my new books that I got.

  1. What an awesome trip! I love when you think that because you played a video game that you can do it in real life! It never works. Haha. My friend and I stayed up all night playing Wii Sports Bowling because my dad was taking us bowling the next day. Let’s just say, of Wii scores were much better! Also, I love Red Robin!! 😀

    1. Video games are so misleading! lol. Wii Bowling is def a lot easier than regular bowling, that’s for sure! Red Robin is so great! I wish we had one in my town. Sometimes I am in the mood for a good cheeseburger that is also cheap.
