If you guys remember my april tbr and goals, I made a lot of really ambitious plans to get a bunch of reading done, get a bunch of goals done and just overall be awesome.
Well I totally didn’t do that. But I’m not going to beat myself up to badly. I got a lot more reading down despite still being in a bit of a slump this month.
Anyway, let us move and I’ll give you the low down as to what all happened in April. This will be part one with just the books. I will do another post discussing my goals and what posts I did on my blog!
∇ The Raging Ones by Krista and Becca Ritchie: 4 stars, arc
→This book had such an interesting concept of knowing your death day but there were some inconsistencies.
∇ The Young Queens by Kendare Blake: 5 stars
→ This novella answered all my questions about the world of Fennbirn and I have new found respect for Arsinoe and Mirabella.
∇ Coming Out by Danielle Steel: 3 stars, owned
→ A classic DS novel with discussion on racism and anti semitism
∇ Eternity’s Echoes by Evan Hirson: 3 stars, arc
→ A time travelling book with potential.
∇ Blood and Beauty by Sarah Dunant: 3 stars, owned, #MomMondays
→ A tale of the Borgias, the Pope Alexander’s family.
∇ The Last Place You Look by Kristen Lepionka: 4 stars
→ A bisexual private investigator with sass. Roxane is the character I didn’t know I needed.
∇ The Cruel Prince by Holly Black: 4 stars
→ An incredibly cool world with a surprisingly likable MC. And yes, the hype is well deserved.
∇ The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater: 2 stars, owned
→ An overhyped book with horrible MCs (except for Adam Parrish)
∇ The Miseducation of Cameron Post: 3 stars, buddy read
→ A tale of one girl’s journey to discovering herself.
∇ Barbed Wire Heart by Tess Sharpe: 4 stars, arc, owned
→TESS SHARPE OWNS MY HEART AND SOUL. Enough said.
∇ Hotel Vendome by Danielle Steel: 3 stars, owned
→A run of the mill DS novel with a bratty child.
